Thank you, apart from getting dark so early (about 16:15 here in the UK in December), the winter can be a beautiful time (especially when the sun is shining!)
Thanks Roo, me too! Good luck with the snow. I don’t know about where you are at the moment but here in the UK snow is unlikely, maybe just once or twice in the winter :(
Thanks Ivy, glad you like these pictures. Our British weather changes so quickly….today its about 8 degrees, cloudy and rainy! Who knows when the frost and snow will return?
Thanks Leanne, to be honest this was unusually frosty by our normal standards. It was at least -4 and was probably much colder during the previous night. I couldn’t keep my hands out of my pockets for long without them going numb!
It’s true it’s as if all the fragile grass and in fact everything was totally helpless and lost to the icy grip of the frost! Thanks for your comment I’m glad that you like them.
Terrific images Peter that capture the crispness of a winters day. I particularly like the first and last for the composition and perspective. Khubsoorat!
Hi, Peter. These images are very atmospeheric. I love the pastel colours and the calmness that is oozing from your photographs. The first one is my favourite.
Greetings from Australia. I spent five long and lovely years living and working in the Uk from London to The Shetlands and Isle of Man. The time there was very special. I love the simplistic elegance of your photographs. They are very thought provoking. You have a true gift. Keep up the great work.
God bless
Thank you Konstantine, very much indeed! I am really grateful for your thoughts:)
I think you have probably travelled around the UK a lot more than me. I wish I could travel more at home. I am planning to visit friends who recently moved to Scotland later this year so it will be the furthest north I’ve been in the UK before! The UK has some amazing coast line especially. Talking of which, check out my friends blog. He makes the most brilliant pictures of the south coast, well worth having a look
As always, here are some spectacular and elegantly captured pictures! ‘Beautiful’ would be an understatement. Simply loved the ‘snowy & frosty’ theme of the pics!
…and your new theme is just gorgeous, it suits your blog so well, like as if it was custom designed for you! :)
Oh by the way, wish you & your lovely family a very, very happy & a blessed new year! May it be one your bests :)
I know I’m late by a good 8 days, but I’m back to blogverse only today…

Great images Peter, I have never seen frost like that before, we get frosts, but they aren’t that bad, or maybe I haven’t noticed.
