Windows

In a small unknown and forgotten corner of the developing world, surviving  with some of the poorest people on earth,  a young Dalit girl smiles.  She wanted to smile and be in every photo I made there;  her real feelings though, lie deep within her eyes.

The place she calls home would would horrify any parent in the western world.

  1. Dear Peter, Another exquisite photograph…this series is captivating, not only for its photos but for your commentary. I would imagine that this girl was not only eager to be photographed, she was eager to be seen. My husband and I pray every day for the people in the world who are suffering. You are giving us faces for those prayers. Thank you for your eloquent images. Vivian

    • Dear Vivian. I’m really glad that you can find something in these pictures; it’s very important to me and I’m grateful to have the chance to tell this story and for someone to see it.
I keep dreaming of this place and they are good dreams! :)

  3. Mesmerizing capture! May God bless her & all the little ‘underprivileged’ children of the world. It’s deeply saddening to see children and animals suffer, with both being the most innocent of God’s creations…
